Joined some beasts at @crossfitmetalize for a long session today! 😅 Worked on lots of snatches, some heavy squats, gymnastics; and finished with a really gross 20 minute metcon with cleans, front squats, burpees box jump overs, and thrusters... 🙈 These athletes are serious machines 😍💛 My legs are gonna feel this tomorrow!! I then got to puppy press off @misharmz13 👯❤ Was hard to stabilise and lift up, especially cause my quads kept cramping in pike 😂😇 #AcroYoga

A fellow trainer told me that a client of his used me as an example of what they don't want their body to look like 😅🙈 Said that I was too muscular and she didn't want to look that way. I had a little giggle because it's not the first time someone has said that, and it won't be the last. The trainer's response was that I've worked really hard for a while and it will take her a lot to get into the shape I am.. but what I want this lady to know is that I don't want to look like her either 😇 I don't want to look like anyone else! And she shouldn't want to look like me, or anyone else - that shouldn't be the goal. The goal shouldn't be to look a certain way, the goal should be to be healthy and fit for YOUR individual lifestyle 😍🙆 I don't train to look any particular way. I train for fitness and performance. I train to feel great, I train to live a long healthy life, I train to find out what the best version of myself is, I train to learn some badass skills, I train to because I'm privileged to have this body that allows me to workout. I train for MANY other reasons than looking like someone else. 😉💜

Standing splits aren't my favourite, and I rarely practice them 🙊 But definitely something I want to work on.. Just need to start implementing them into my daily practice. Consistency is key!! 👌💛 I'm excited for the new year, many things to work on and so much to room for growth 😍🎉 #splitseverydamnday

End of my weekend of learning everything about FITNESS 💙 The most professional, well structured, empowering and knowledgeable course I have been on. Learnt SO much from the talented @CrossFit staff and the amazing fellow participants on the course 🙆 I'm so motivated for my own training and practice across aalll goals as well as training clients to do the same 🎉❤ The course ended with an hour long tough exam, and I'll find out in a week if I'm officially a @CrossFit Level 1 Trainer 😇 Thank you @RigCrossFit for the incredible hospitality and letting me split across the squat rack 😂🐒 #FitnessDork

Having my favourite people in the world visit me here in Dubai has been tough on my normal routine. I feel like I'm eating a lot more of things I normally wouldn't, I feel like I've gained weight and I've lost strength. It's beginning to be tough to balance it all. 😇🌞 However you can always go back to your normal routine after the holidays. What you can't get back are moments and experiences with your close friends and family. It's the time to let your hair down and do what you don't get to for the rest of the year, it's the time to venture outside of your comfort zone and break away from that routine. 🌈 #thoughtoftheday

I've always been one to want to control my environment, my situations around me. Learning more about acro yoga and trusting the support beneath me has taught me a lot about letting go. I trust @markymcd91 with my life, and yet getting into these poses was always a mental challenge for me. I've never really trusted anyone before with partner balances, it's always been something I've battled with, I'm much better with being a strong base 🙆❤ Mark has definitely shown me how to trust, how to let go of control and how to enjoy AcroYoga 🙏 It's truly a beautiful way to practice, filled with lessons beyond physical. 🌞

It took a long time for rehab, but now I love to run because I can. I love to be fit, strong and flexible because I'm lucky enough to be able to. 🙆 #loveyourbody

Day 12 of #YogaInThePresent 🙆 How is it the last day already?!?! I've absolutely loooveeed everyone's heart opening posts ❤ Today I have chosen my favourite asana: King Dancer 💃 It's a rather intimidating pose, and it has taken me a while to get to where I am with this asana, practice certainly make progress! Feel free to post any variation 😍 Dancer without a flipped grip, is a beautiful way to work on your balance and splits! You can also use a strap around your foot to practice flipping your grip for king dancer. Don't forget you can also use a wall to hold onto, and work on the balance of this pose. Make sure you warm up your body first! One of my goals this year is to nourish my body better! 🙌 I don't eat awfully, but I don't really think too much about what I eat. And I'd like to change that! I KNOW that fueling your body correctly can increase your performance, your recovery, help with your moods aannnddd help you sleep better. I know all this.. everyone does. But it's time I do something about it 😁 This weekend I heard the quote "Eating without thinking is like p*ssing in your Lamborghini and hoping for the best." 😂👌 Well we all need quality fuel!! Puppy press starting to feel comfortable 😱 It's hard to find the correct alignment each time that results in a happy float up 🌈 The combination of pushing over your wrists, engaging your shoulders, open hamstrings, correct position of your tucked leg, the base leg position the correct distance away from your body, plus engaged core (belly button to spine and hips plus ribs tucked in!) Back in the gym today with big motivation for this new year 🎉 Today started with some strength work on weighted squats and handstand presses 🙆 Then 3 rounds of: 10 slow strict triceps dips on the bars, 10 strict toes to bar, 10 flying crow mountain climbers, 10 high wall balls, 10 weighted v-sits. 💛 Taking my time today, focusing on my technique and correct muscle engagement 👌 #qualityoverquantity 💁

SO true! 🙊 It's common to see people portraying a whole different life, practice and attitude online. And it's really sad.The one reason I've often thought about continuing my journey off line, there can be a lot of unnecessary negative energy online. HOWEVER there is a heck of a lot of positive real beautiful souls out there too. It's so important to look out for the real people vs the lives that don't even exist 🙆💖 ALSO it's time to start loving your own life, find the elements in your life to love and celebrate. Rather than the elements if someone else's life. Love your own life and self to create new elements that inspire and motivate YOU. 🌈 #thinkingoutloud 😇

If you want to press up into anything, it's best to get your muscles familiar with the movement by working lowering down into it first. This applies to pull ups, push ups, handstand press, headstand press.. just about anything! I've been thinking a lot about new years resolutions recently, and what they mean to me 🙏 To be honest I personally set a lot of goals and targets frequently, but this an opportunity to reflect on my goals and see where I stand in achieving them 🙆 I feel it's important to not only dream a big dream, but to have targets along the way. Lining the road to that big dream with lots of mini celebrations 🎉😁 These targets along the way form a plan, a route, a map to that big scary dream. A plan with mini celebrations included makes the huge scary hairy dream seem a lot more approachable, a lot more manageable and definitely helps it become achievable! Today was the best feeling press I've done. It felt light! 🎉 I know that each new day I have a new body to work with, I know that each practice is a new practice. Spent my morning with my some of my favourite clients 🙆 It's the best feeling to truly love what you do ❤ I adore making people feel good, confident and empowered to do anything 💪 My one client today spoke about after the short time training with me that it's changed the the way he sees sport, movement and exercise. That he is so much more body aware while doing all activities now, and much more in control of his body too. It's truly made my day, because that's one of favourite things to get across to my clients. Training with intention, moving with intention and focus 👌 Training blind is the fastest way to injury, and the slowest way to progress. You want results? Start to train with more focus, engagement and intention for each movement, each exercise. 💜 I'm a very very happy trainer this morning!! #ilovemyjob

#NotAYogaPost 😂 I'm excited and pretty nervous because this weekend I will be doing my @crossfit level 1 certification 🙊💛 I haven't been doing crossfit for too long, because its always seemed very intimidating! I've been into body weight training, yoga, calisthenics and gymnastics for a longer time; however lifting weights in anyway was always outside my comfort zone, and VERY foreign to me 😳 But not too long ago I met some amazing people who showed me the supportive, rewarding and safe side of crossfit 👯 I'm a lover of fitness. All fitness! Woke up super early and couldn't get back to sleep, so I decided to get some active recovery cardio done 😁😇 I did 14 rounds of: 30s handstand hold, 30s burpees, 30s wall balls, 30s fast skipping, 30s rest 😍❤ I got sweaty! #handstandlove

I went to the gym earlier today, and I had zero motivation 🙈 Yeah, it happens to all of us! I sat around, stretched a bit.. did some handstand drills.. I honestly wasn't in the mood. So I left, feeling SO defeated. This evening I was driving home from a really great coaching session, and it truly inspired me to get moving. I walked into the gym for the SECOND time today, and did a solid tough workout. I got a private request for some of my favourite leg exercises! ❤ So I thought I'd share some foundation strength movements with everyone 💪 6 movements: 2 with a box/chair/bench, 2 different squat variations and 2 explosive movements 🙌 Check the comments below for some tips and important things to consider before you try this! Aim for 4 sets of 10 reps for the movements with the box; 3 sets of 20-30 reps for the squat variations and the explosive movements. 👌 Once you feel comfortable with these movements, you can try adding weight to these if you'd like to. Either with dumbells or kettle bells or medicine balls. PLEASE ensure you have a stable core and straight back always; especially if you are adding weight to these movements. 🙌 You don't have to do aaaallll of these in one day, just some exercise inspiration for you to think about 🍑 Enjoy the booty building fun 💃💃💃 #workoutvideo

This is a great variation to prep your balance for balancing on one hand 😍 Ensure your weight is stacked over your base hand, and shoulder is pushing you as tall as possible through that side.
